AD 013
Plaster Contact Layer
Description
AD 013 is a plastic dispersion mixed with quartz sand and is characterized by its good alkali resistance. It is used as a plaster contact layer for mineral plasters or tile adhesives on smooth and absorbent mineral substrates. AD 013 is suitable as a bond improving subc-oat for plasters based on gypsum, lime
and cement.
Application
AD 013 can be applied using spray, brush or roller. It is ready to use and a maximum addition of 10% water is allowed for mechanical working to achieve
a good spray consistency. Before use, any settled quartz sand should be mixed in by stirring. Subsequent plasters or tile adhesives should only be applied once the coating is fully dry. Check dryness with a scratch test before covering. AD 013 cannot be worked at substrate temperatures below +5°C. When AD 013 is applied as a plaster contact layer on shower walls, minimum 2 coats are required. Apply the 2nd coat when the first coat has fully dried after about 2 hours depending on the surrounding temperature and humidity.
